Aah...the cool winds of Fall are coming our way! It's hard to believe that we have completed over 4 weeks of school already! We're halfway to the end of the nine week grading period! Please keep that in mind as you continue working on meeting your A.R. goals, reading logs and math goals. You can do it mates! Here are your weekly reminders:
- Go Boosterthon! What a fabulous job you've done raising money and walking those laps! I am so, so proud of you! Try to collect all of your pledges by September 8th, so that we can get 10% donated directly back to our room. You can do it!
- Upcoming tests next week--Spelling Sort 2 (Tuesday, 9/14/10) and Math Chp. 2 (Monday, 9/13/10).
- This is your last week with Mrs. Greeson. We'll begin another social studies unit next week.
- We have guidance with Mr. Rollins and a library visit this week. We'll also get to know our buddy class!
- Bring boardgames on Friday for our Boosterthon reward.
- Academic alerts and progress updates will go out on Friday to let you know how you are doing so far. Please keep in mind that we have only had a few grades at this point, so you have plenty of time to maintain or raise your averages.
- Next reading log/math log check--Friday, 9/17/10.
- You will have novel study homework (a short assignment and reading) on Thursday of this week---please return your novel to school the next day. **Bonus--You can count the assignment of reading that night on your reading log. Also, your novel is an A.R. book so when we finish it as a group you can test on it!
