• Continue working on reading log/math goals/A.R. goals.  With the icy weather, we have lost a week of time--so think smart and work ahead!

Newsletter for January 24, 2011

Reminders for the week include:

1. School pictures (upcoming) on 2/1/11.  Forms about the pictures were given out Friday 1/21/11.
2. Reading log and math log check this week.  Logs are signed and due on Friday 1/28/11.
3. Math test- Chp. 12/13  on Friday.  Be sure to look over your math book (particularly the chapter reviews at the end of Chp. 12 and 13) before the test Friday.

Class News for Week of January 18, 2010

Brrr...it's been a chilly, snowy week but hopefully we'll get back to normal this week.  Please refer to the previous week's newsletter (posted for last week) for this week since we were unable to go to school.  All homework and test dates will be the same.  Speaking of tests, please don't forget to study for your Thursday Spelling test and Science test with Mrs. Greeson!  Additionally, although this is the official beginning of the 3rd week of the 9 week period, I will NOT check reading/math logs this Friday (due to our week off from the weather).  Instead, I will plan on checking them the following Friday (1/28/11).  Let's have a great week and get back into the swing of things!

Test Updates

Students and Parents,

Due to missed days from the hazardous weather, our spelling test and science test will be postponed.  If we are able to return to school on Friday, 1/14/11, then our tests will take place next Tuesday, 1/18/11.  If we are still unable to return on Friday, then our tests will be pushed back further to next Thursday, 1/20/11.  In the meantime, stay safe and warm!

Class Newsletter 1/10/11

Reminders for this chilly winter week include:

• Spelling Test on Thursday (study the words in your agenda)
• Science test on Thursday  (study your science workbook p. 66-79, your foldables, and your mini booklets)
• Continue working on new A.R. goals, reading and math logs (new A.R. goals have been set by students and are listed at the top of the new conduct sheet for the 9 wks)
• Return your report card signature card and envelope

Class Newsletter for the Week of January 4, 2011

Happy New Year!  Don't forget that we'll be setting new A.R. goals when you return this week and starting over on our nine week reading log goal of 850 pages.  Math logs will still be handed out, but you will now only need to turn in 3 timed tests for every math log check.  New math and reading logs will be handed out in class this week.
