WILD Week 35

This week was super busy, and so much FUN!! Field day was a BLAST, and we read lots of books about Mother's Day. We also discussed Memorial Day, Flag Day and Independence Day! =)

Please return any Take-Home Readers that might still be in your home by next Wed. or ASAP. Thanks SO much for your continued support of your child's education! You all are AWESOME!!!!!!

Field Day - Thursday

This is a friendly reminder that this Thursday, May 10th, is our Kindergarten Field Day! Please dress your child in our orange class T-shirt Thursday morning, along with running shoes and sunblock. Also, please send in a complete change of clothes, including shoes, socks, etc. You can send this change of clothes in early if you like. Thanks so much! We're going to have a GREAT Field Day!! =) Yay!!!

Please Note- Bus Pass Changes

 STUDENT BUS PASS CHANGES!

Effective immediately, students must have a CCSD Student Bus Pass to ride a different bus home. This pass must include parent emergency information. Please come to the office in person to make bus changes for your child. The bus pass on the school website has been removed and is no longer valid. Bus drivers will turn away students who do not have the county issued bus pass provided in the front office. Sorry for the inconvenience. Thanks!

Last Few Weeks of Kindergarten & Portfolio Showcase Reminder

During these important last few weeks of school, we will continue to meet the various needs of our students by continuing to teach 4th Quarter standards via differentiated Literacy and Math Small Groups. We will also be encouraging lots of read, read, reading, writing, and solving addition and subtraction word problems. Can you believe we are nearing the end of Kindergarten!?

We cannot wait to share work with you this Wednesday, May 2nd from 9:15-9:45 at the Portfolio Showcase! Please get here EARLY because parking can get a little crazy. Thanks! We can't wait to see you!! =)

Also, on May 3rd, please remember to have your child wear their class T-shirt and comfortable walking shoes for our field trip to the Chattahoochee Nature Center! Thanks!

Items Needed for the Super Star Jar & Treasure Chest

If you happen to have any of the following items to donate to our classroom Super Star Jar, we would love if you could send them in:

pencils, fun erasers, sticker sheets, pens, small rulers, tiny notepads, plastic rings, and basically anything small enough to keep in the jar for classroom rewards. (Think: Chuck E Cheese prizes under 5 tickets..)

As always, we continue to collect larger items for our Treasure Chest like: fast food toys, dollar store toys, journals, plastic jewelry, small stuffed toys, etc.
